This pages shows you how to put on a harness. It's easy, if you know how to
do it. There are several ways to do it, this is how I usually handle my dogs.
Note, my dogs are always staked out during harnessing. I use the x-back harness
as seen below.

Get your harness right first.
You won't believe how many wrong ways of a harness are out there. Is you dog
to excited, arrest it gently between your legs

Pull the two loops of your harness over the head of
the dog.

Unhook your dog from the stake-out line and pull the collar back through the
harness. Reconnect your dog to the stake-out line.

Pull first leg
through side loop. Good trained dogs will do it by themselves.

..... the second leg.
|
 
Finally, tighten the harness by pulling backwards.
